Why do you blog?
I love what I do and do what I love! Teaching was not my first choice of profession; it is my calling. It's the thing that chased me down and FOUND ME even as I fought it tooth and nail. Once I began teaching, it came naturally. It was fun! The love for being around kids and working to do the best job of encouraging their life long love for learning inspires me daily. It is my sincere hope that in some small way, I can inspire you in the same way that I've been by my students, awesome coworkers and fantastic leadership. Blogging has extended my knowledge beyond the 4 walls of my classroom. It's allowed me the opportunity to "meet" and toss around ideas with some of the most talented teachers on the planet! I can't imagine NOT blogging now and wish I had the time to do it more often!
What do you use to create materials?
Powerpoint! Powerpoint! Powerpoint! If you can click, copy, paste and format...you can too! Creating materials for my classroom allows me to cater to my students' specific needs. It makes learning fun with a unique expression of my style and taste to meet the required rigor of our state standards.
