…in the land of Dwyer! Thanks for the comments and show of concern via email. Now, let’s see…where did I leave off last night?
Oh……Yesterday was quite the doozy, BUT we have survived. I don’t know how many of you have sons, but if you do…brace yourselves! I have 3 kiddos. The two oldest are girls. I am slowly discovering that a boy’s mind works very, very differently!
A girl can entertain herself quietly for hours with dolls, books, and the mirror, lol! A boy….needs confirmation that someone is still there every 15 minutes! And must be watched or entertained to stay busy!
Well, ……my son decided to see if his sister would serve well as a human trampoline! That’s my take on it anyway, lol! She’s tiny. He’s NOT…..lol! I can laugh now, but I was NOT laughing after driving 2 hours to San Antonio to pick them up to find my baby girl sitting with her leg propped up, iced and in tears. Mama bear hopped right back in the car and drove 2 hours back home to take her to the ER!
It didn’t look broken, so I figured she’d be ok to endure the ride. Well, looking a little nervous….the story they both told is that they were playing and DJ fell on her! Geeesh, maybe I need to lay off his wheeties!!! So the short story is that the little brother who is almost the same size as the {4 year older} big sister, fell and caused her to sprain her knee. All is well. Deja enjoyed the wheelchair ride, pampering, and we’re glad it was just a sprain. Side note: I may be pricing a trampoline soon!!!
Now! On to what you’re looking for!!!!! Drum roll, please……….dun da dun!!!! And the 3 winners are……
(I used animal print because yesterday was a BEAST, lol!)
Thanks for leaving such fun comments! Pete is going to be one popular cat this year! The ideas you shared all sounded like loads of fun!
Heather, Rachel, and Nicole, the file is en route to your inboxes…thanks for leaving your email addresses. Nicole, I know where to find yours, hehehe! :-)
I’m off to finish The Daily 5 book I’ve been reading and start The Cafe! If you use it, can you share some pros and cons? So far, I’m loving the verbiage and strategies to share with kids in language that’s easy for them to understand. I was a little confused about the scheduling of it all and appreciate the 6 week plan described in The Cafe to help get it all up and running…let me know what YOU think of it!
Thanks for stopping by!
I am so glad to hear all is well! I have a 4 year old daughter and my son is 1...I can ALREADY tell he is going to be a HAND-FULL! lol
